Kings Cross click & collect FAQs

Is it only Euros and US Dollars that I can get discounted rates on?

At present, we only offer preferential rates for Euro and US Dollars.

However, our Kings Cross branch stocks over 40 currencies for in-branch exchange.

What exchange rate will I get?

You will receive the preferential rate on the day of collection and not the day of printing the voucher, as this is an indicative rate only. The preferential rate is updated daily Monday-Friday before 10.30am

However, if you pick up within 24 hours, the exchange rate will not vary dramatically from those seen online, as rates will only change in line with the financial exchange markets.

How can I pay?

You can pay for your click & collect order when you pick up your currency either in sterling cash or with a debit card.

Will I need proof of identity to collect my currency?

Yes, you must provide one of the following forms of ID when you arrive at the ICE branch:

  • Full international passport
  • Current UK/EEA photo card driving licence
  • Current EU members' state ID card with photo
  • Building industry sub-contractors registration card issued by Inland Revenue
Are there any commission or card charges?

Nope. We don’t charge commission fees or a fee to pay by debit card, but your card issuer can sometimes charge you something called a ‘Cash Advance Fee’.

For further information about what fees you may incur for purchasing currency within the UK, please contact your card issuer.
